This Privacy Policy explains how Pinkerton Payroll & Insurance, LLC and Pinkerton Insurance Group, Inc. (together, “Pinkerton,” “we,” “us”) collect, use, and protect information when you visit pinkertonpi.com (the “Site”), contact us, or use our payroll, HR, benefits, and insurance services.

Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, business name, email address, phone and mobile number, mailing address, and anything you include in a form, email, call, or text message to us.

Information needed to provide our services. When you become a client, we collect the information required to run payroll or place insurance, such as employee and payroll records, tax identification numbers, bank details for direct deposit and tax payments, and coverage information.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we use cookies and similar tools to measure traffic and improve the Site, including pages visited, browser type, and approximate location. We do not use this information to identify you personally.

How we use information

We use information to respond to your requests, provide and support the services you sign up for, process payroll and tax filings, quote and service insurance and benefits, send account and service communications, maintain the security of our systems, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages from Pinkerton Payroll & Insurance, we collect your mobile phone number to send account notifications and customer service messages, such as payroll deadline reminders, requests for payroll hours, confirmations, and replies to your questions.

• You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our website contact form, or by texting START to one of our business numbers. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are excluded from every sharing category described in this policy.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

We share information only as needed to provide the services you request:

• Service providers that work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, such as our payroll software, hosting, and communications providers. They may use information only to perform services for us.
• Insurance carriers and benefits administrators, only when you ask us to quote, place, or service coverage for you.
• Government agencies, such as the IRS and state tax departments, as required to file payroll taxes and reports for clients.
• Legal requirements, when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, our company, or others.

None of these categories includes mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies. Some parts of the Site may not work correctly if you do.

Children

The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Security
